Kompanion

Kompanion, founded in 2004, is the largest MFI in Kyrgyzstan. Its 900 employees, working in 90 offices, offer financial services throughout the entire country. With its 12 branches and 80 sub-offices, it has the densest branch network in Kyrgyzstan and provides financial services in remote areas where few or no other financial institutions are active. Kompanion serves about a third of all micro borrowers in the country. It offers one group loan product and one individual loan product, and it also carries out a number of community development projects, such as the “Apple Project” (horticultural development), “Habitat” (construction/reconstruction loans), and “Helvetas” (education loans).
