Incofin Investment Management (Incofin) is looking for a motivated and driven Legal Officer to join our team in Bogotá.
Your tasks
You will be contributing to the growth of Incofin’s portfolio by providing legal advice in respect of the mandates of Incofin as fund manager and investment advisor from a transactional and regulatory perspective and independently drafting and negotiating transactional documentation relating to debt and equity investments in emerging markets across the globe. You will be developing and maintaining strong business partner relationships with the investment and operational teams within Incofin and with the teams, funds or other stakeholders. You will be contributing to the development and promotion of legal standards within Incofin by building understanding of legal issues, risks and obligations through advice, communications and training of the investment and operational teams within Incofin. Legal officer will be part of the global legal team and report to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO).
Your profile
You hold a law degree from a top university in Colombia and have an excellent academic record. You have minimum 1 year and maximum 3 years of relevant working experience in banking and financial law (transactional or regulatory), corporate law or M&A. You have excellent knowledge of Spanish and English (fluent both in written and spoken), knowledge of French is desirable. We appreciate entrepreneurial, proactive and process-oriented approach, a “can-do” mentality towards supporting new initiatives and resilience to stress. Strong communication and negotiating skills, inclusiveness, integrity and high ethical standards are something we value highly.
