All of Incofin IM’s employees are “committed beyond investment”: they are closely involved in every investment. Loïc De CannièreChief Executive OfficerT: +32 3 829 25 62Skype:Email: loic.decanniere@incofin.comRead bioChief Executive Officer Loïc De Cannière joined Incofin Investment management as CEO in 2001. He serves on the Board of Incofin, Impulse, the Supervisory Board of Rural Impulse Fund, and is a Board member of Access Bank Nigeria.
Before joining Incofin, Loïc worked for 6 years at Dredging International, one of the largest marine engineering companies in the world, where he was responsible for structured finance operations. During this period, he structured deals in port and environmental projects with institutions such as World Bank, European Investment Bank, Opec Fund, Kuwait Fund, Belgian State, Dutch State and private commercial banks.
From 1989 until 1995, he was chief of staff of the Minister President of the Government of Flanders (Belgium) and vice-chief of staff of the Minister of Public Works of Belgium. During this period, he was responsible for economic affairs, including for the restructuring and privatization of the largest private equity investment company in Belgium (Gimv).
Loïc studied economics at the University of Louvain and philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Munich. He is fluent in English, French, Dutch, German and Spanish.

Dominiek DeconinckDirector Private EquityT: +32 3 829 25 83Skype:Read bioDominiek Deconinck joined Incofin IM in 2008 where he is heading the equity investments' team as well as focusing on investments in Sub Saharan Africa.
Previously, Dominiek worked in venture capital investments in the SRI space, latest for Triodos Investment Management, covering its investments in Belgium and France in the sectors of renewable energy and organic food. He entered in the VC investments sector early 2000, when joining an investment firm that decided to structure and raise one of the first cleantech funds, Sustainable Energy Ventures, where he was fully involved in its investment cycle. This led him to also advising ParticipatieMaatschappij Vlaanderen, the holding company above Sustainable Energy Ventures, on the structuring and raising of the ARKimedes fund-of-fund (EUR 110 million). He executed half of its investments, specifically in technology oriented VC funds. Dominiek started his career as a researcher specializing in applied environmental research at the University of Antwerp.
Dominiek graduated as Master in Commercial Engineering and in Applied Economic Sciences and obtained a post master degree in Corporate Finance. Dominiek is fluent in Dutch, English and French and has a fair ability to express in German.

Marcel GerritsInvestment ManagerT: +32 3 829 25 65Skype:Email: marcel.gerrits@incofin.comRead bioMarcel Gerrits joined Incofin Investment Management in 2010 as an Investment Manager for the Caucasus and Eastern Europe.
Marcel started working in the microfinance industry in 2001. Before joining Incofin he worked for ICCO (Dutch development organization) as technical advisor and in 2008 initiated the establishment of the new ICCO office in Central Asia and became responsible for the microfinance portfolio in this region which included support to smaller MFIs and a strong focus on social performance and technical assistance.
Prior to that he was responsible for the separation of the microcredit component of a French NGO in Kyrgyzstan and led the first year of the newly established MFI. He gained his first experience in microfinance at ICCO where he was responsible for the microfinance activities in the Philippines for 3 years.
Marcel holds an MA in geography from the University of Amsterdam and a post-graduate degree in development studies, focusing on micro-insurance, of the Centre for International Development Studies in Nijmegen. Marcel is fluent in English and Dutch, has a good knowledge of German and basic Russian.

Durdona KadirovaSenior Investment ManagerT: +32 3 829 25 39Skype:Email: durdona.kadirova@incofin.comRead bioDurdona Kadirova joined Incofin in 2011 as Senior Investment Manager to supervise Incofin IM's investments in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Mongolia.
Durdona has been working in the banking sector since 1996, when she started her employment with one of the largest local commercial banks in Uzbekistan. She has more than 10 years of experience in the microfinance industry all over Eastern Europe and the Central Asian region.
Prior to Incofin IM, Durdona worked as independent consultant for a number of esteemed organizations, including Triple Jump Advisory Services in Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan; Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Moldova; and CHF International in Romania and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has also worked as International Expert for UNDP in Turkmenistan, as Associate Banker for EBRD in Uzbekistan, as well as in various positions for FINCA in Kosovo, Georgia and Armenia.
Durdona studied Economics at the Agro-Economic University in Uzbekistan. She holds an MA degree in Banking from the Banking and Finance Academy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She is fluent in Uzbek, Russian and English and has good practical knowledge of Turkish.

Milena Leoni joined Incofin IM as Technical Assistance Coordinator early 2012.
Prior to joining Incofin, Milena worked as a project officer and junior expert in Development Researchers’ Network, a consultancy firm specialized in technical assistance and evaluation of development projects. She has been coordinating several projects on capacity building in Central Africa, Haiti and Central America on trade, private sector development and regional integration. As junior expert, she worked in a team with Senior experts in the country strategy evaluation of the European Commission’s cooperation in Ecuador and Colombia.
Prior to this, she has worked as a quality management assistant for EuropeAid. She has been supporting EC staff and external consultants in elaborating the Guidelines on Trade and Private Sector Development (TPSD) and preparing concept notes on inclusive business models and access to finance for MSMEs.
Milena holds a MSc in Development Economics and MA in International Relations. She is currently attending a complementary master in Microfinance. Milena is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Italian. She also has a good knowledge of Portuguese.

Geert designed Incofin’s investment policy and is responsible for the coordination of the investment operations of Incofin’s Pool of Funds and for guiding the team of investment managers. Geert is Director of the Rural Impulse Fund, and sits on the Board of Directors of Edpyme Confianza in Peru, Fie Gran Poder in Argentina and Apoyo Integral Inversiones in Panama.
Before joining Incofin, he worked as a consultant for the Belgian Raiffeisen Foundation, an institution supporting microfinance in rural areas, where he published on the topic of “Guarantee systems in microfinance” (with support from ILO).
From 1997 until 2000, he was entrusted by a Belgian development organization to start microfinance operations of Acción Rural, a Greenfield MFI in Ecuador.Geert studied economics at the University of Louvain. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Dutch and has a fair ability to express in German and French.

Dina PonsInvestment ManagerT: +32 3 829 25 34Skype:Email: dina.pons@incofin.comRead bioDina joined Incofin IM at the beginning of 2011 as an Investment Manager in charge of Southeast Asia and Western Africa.
Previous to joining Incofin, Dina was a senior analyst in charge of Southeast Asia at the global microfinance specialized rating agency Planet Rating where she conducted more than 25 rating missions in various Asian countries including Cambodia, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and the Sri Lanka, but also in Africa (Nigeria, Niger) and in Europe (Scotland, Spain).
Prior to that time, Dina worked for three years in microfinance as a training and operations consultant at PlaNet Finance and its sister company MicroCred (in both Mexico and China). At this position, she led TA missions for several Chinese rural microfinance NGOs where she has been responsible for market surveys, policies and procedures design, product development, and recruitment and training of field staff.
Dina speaks fluent French, English, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. She holds Master's degrees from Sciences Po Paris and the London School of Economics (LSE) in Development Studies and in International Relations respectively.

Noémie RenierInvestment ManagerT: +32 3 829 25 32Skype:Email: noemie.renier@incofin.comRead bioNoémie Renier joined Incofin IM in November 2010 as Investment Manager responsible for Incofin IM’s investments in the Central Asian region.
She elaborated her experience in microfinance during an internship in India at IFMR Capital Finance in Chennai, India. She was also involved as a consultant at ESAF Microfinance and Investment Ltd in Thrissur, India.
Previously she worked as a Project Officer at the CEO/COO Advisory of BNP Paribas Fortis. Noémie started her professional career as International Management Trainee at Fortis Bank, where she has been involved in export financing in Singapore, leverage financing in London and initial public offerings and equity research in Brussels.
Noémie holds a Master degree in Management Sciences and a complementary Master in microfinance, both of the Solvay Business School in Brussels. She is fluent in French, English and Dutch and is currently learning Turkish.

Previously Stephane gained microfinance experience at PlaNet Finance as Microfinance Investment Associate. In this position he analyzed investment opportunities in the Caucasus and Central Asia. Before that, he worked 5 years for Ernst & Young as an Audit Manager, where he led the statutory audit and conducted special assignments for multinational and listed companies.
Stephane holds an International MBA of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Master of Arts of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). He fluently speaks French and English, and has a fair ability to express in Spanish and German.

Leslie previously worked as assistant CFO at a Belgian industrial company and also 12 years as senior manager at Ernst & Young Belgium, one of the leading audit firms in the world. As assistant CFO he was responsible for setting up a financial performance management system. At Ernst & Young he was responsible for the statutory audit of several quoted and non-quoted clients, mainly private equity funds and investment companies.
Leslie studied economics at VLEKHO (Brussels) and followed several post graduate trainings at the Antwerp Management School (Financial performance management, Valuation of companies,..) and at other institutes (EVCA – Master Class in “IPEV Valuation Guidelines”, IBR, ..). He is fluent in English and Dutch.

Kaat Van BosstraetenCommunications ManagerT: +32 3 829 25 66Skype:Read bioKaat Van Bosstraeten joined Incofin Investment Management in 2010 as Communications Manager.
Previously she was Communications Officer at listed private equity and venture capital company Gimv. Kaat started her career at insurance company Vanbreda International where she first worked on the international customers division and later on the communications department.
Kaat holds a Master degree in Germanic languages of the Catholic University of Louvain and a Master degree in theatre studies of the University of Antwerp. She is fluent in Dutch, English, French and Portuguese.

Rita Van den AbbeelChief Risk Officer / Director AgrofinanceT: +32 3 829 25 73Skype:Read bioRita Van den Abbeel joined Incofin in 2002. As Chief Risk Officer she manages the overall risks within Incofin Investment Management and the different funds under management. She has also been appointed director Agrofinance, being the focal point of agricultural finance projects within the company.
Previously she was responsible as CFO for managing accounting, preparation of financial accounts (for Incofin Investment Management and the funds under management), currency risk hedging, tax policy, liquidity management, ALM, and the Management Information System.
Before that, Rita worked as an investment manager responsible for Africa. Before joining Incofin, she also worked for 12 years in Africa (Tanzania, Congo) on agricultural and agro-processing related projects. From 1998 until 2001 she managed a microcredit fund and business center in Tanzania.
Rita holds a Master in agronomy, with a specialty in tropical agriculture, phytotechnics and economics. She is fluent in English, French, Dutch and Kiswahili. She has a fair ability to express in German.

Since 2006 Wim has built up an extensive financial experience while working as senior auditor for Ernst & Young.
Wim graduated at the Antwerp University as Master in Applied Economic Sciences. He also obtained a Post Master degree in International Relations.

Sara VermeirDirector Business Development / Private Equity ManagerT: +32 3 829 25 37Skype:Email: sara.vermeir@incofin.comRead bioSara Vermeir joined Incofin Investment Management in 2009. As Director Business Development she works on the development of new funds, on the commercialization of existing funds, and on maintaining excellent investor relations.
Sara is also part of the investment team and is a private equity manager, in charge of analyzing and negotiating the private equity transactions of the funds managed by Incofin IM, with a specific regional focus on Asia and on adjacencies to the traditional microfinance portfolio.
Prior to joining Incofin IM, Sara worked for four years with the international management consulting firm Bain & Company, first in Brussels and later in Boston, USA. In Brussels, she worked as a consultant, advising major European companies on strategic questions. In Boston, she joined the Bain Private Equity Group where she worked on several large due diligences across industries.
Sara has a Master in Civil Engineering of the University of Ghent. She is fluent in Dutch, English, and French and has a fair ability to express in Spanish.

He is responsible for designing funds and investment products, identifying potential investors and interacting with them before and after they have invested in Incofin products.
Prior to joining Incofin IM, Alexander worked for two years as a consultant at the international management consulting firm Bain & Company. He worked on turnaround and strategic growth projects for large European companies, mainly in financial services.
Alexander holds a Master in Business Engineering of the University of Leuven. He is fluent in Dutch, English and French, and has a fair ability to express in Italian.

Ellen WoutersChief Legal OfficerT: +32 3 829 25 38Skype:Email: ellen.wouters@incofin.comRead bioEllen Wouters joined Incofin Investment Management in 2010 as Chief Legal Officer and is responsible for all legal affairs of the company.
Prior to Incofin Investment Management, Ellen worked for almost eight years at the international law firm SJ Berwin LLP. In this function, she provided legal advice to clients (often investment funds) in national and international transactions including mergers and acquisitions, both on the buy and sell side, spin-offs and restructuring. Over the years, she has built an extensive experience in financial law and fund related matters.
Ellen has a good knowledge of the functioning of the European institutions and is in regular contact with them closely following up and monitoring all matters influencing the activities of Incofin Investment Management and the microfinance sector as a whole.
Ellen holds a Master in Law of the Catholic University of Louvain, a Master in European Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She is fluent in Dutch, French, English and Spanish.

He joined Incofin in 2007 as an investment manager for South America, the Caribbean and Southern Africa. David is also a Board member of several MFIs: Banco FIE (Bolivia), ACME (Haiti), Crezcamos and Contactar (both in Colombia).
David represents investors as a member of the steering Committee of the Social Performance Task Force (SPTF) and is a lecturer at the European Master in Microfinance from Université Libre de Bruxelles and at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in Spain.
Prior to Incofin IM, David worked for 6 years as a Senior Director at ACCION International. In this position, he provided technical assistance to MFIs in various countries. His expertise includes methodological auditing, microfinance product design, market research, training, and the development of a social performance tool (ACCION Social). David was also Coordinator of the Acción Network, a leading Microfinance network of 21 MFIs members.
Previously, he worked as a microfinance researcher at International Development Research Center (IDRC), a Canadian research center, and is the author of various microfinance related topics publications.
David holds an MA in Economics from Laval University (Canada). He is fluent in Spanish, French and English.

Prior to Incofin IM, Thomas volunteered eight months for Contactar, a microfinance institution based in Colombia. He worked directly with the CFO analyzing the organization’s finances and supporting the NGO in various tasks. Before working in Colombia, Thomas gained 12 years of experience in the financial sector in Switzerland. This includes 5 years as Investment Director in Galaxar SA, a Geneva based Family Office, as well as 7 years in UBS Switzerland, among others, in Private Banking and Investment Advisory.
Thomas holds a degree in Business Administration from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland) and is currently a CFA Level II candidate. He is fluent in German and English and has good knowledge of Spanish and French.

Prior to joining La Fayette, he worked for more than 2 years for Capital International Limited, one of the world's leading traditional investment managers, where his duties included performance, portfolio and risk analysis.
Jerome obtained a B.A. in finance from Reims Management School (France) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish.

In parallel, she worked as professor in Managerial Accounting and Finance for Master students in Finance, Marketing and Human Resources at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH) and as Supply Chain Advisor for the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV-Honduras). Previously, she served as Manager of Horticultural Products in PIIDEH/FPX-Honduras/BID/CBI-Netherlands, as Operational Manager Honduras for San Lucas Fresh S.A./Lapco Group-Guatemala and as Territorial Manager in Honduras for Alcon Group S. De R. L./Cargill Inc.-Unithed State.
Rosarito holds an MBA in Finance from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras and graduated as Engineer in Agribusiness Management at the Zamorano University in Honduras. She is fluent in Spanish, has a good knowledge of English and can express herself in Portuguese.

She started her career working as a Credit Risk analyst, responsible for analyzing companies from diverse sectors such as the chemical, plastics and finance industries. After that, she worked as a banker, specializing in finance. Her responsibilities included offering transactional, treasury and corporate finance services to insurance companies, stock brokers and microfinance institutions. Most recently, Lina worked as an investment banker, specializing in M&A transactions in the Andean region of South America.
Lina obtained an MBA from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School in Belgium. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. Lina is fluent in Spanish and English and is learning French.

He has over 5 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital and corporate finance. His professional repertoire includes working with Aavishkaar Venture Capital, Goldman Sachs and Standard Chartered Bank.
Aditya holds an Associate degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Bachelors in Commerce from the University of Madras. He also has attended an executive program on private equity education organized by the Indian School of Business.

He also worked on developing innovative asset-backed financing structures for Microfinance. Before that Prashant worked for Infosys Technologies Ltd where he was involved in the development of a Loan Originating System for Wells Fargo Bank.
Prashant holds a MBA in Rural management from Institute of Rural Management Anand, India (IRMA) and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics & Telecommunications) from Army Institute of Technology Pune, India.
